Alison Clancy dances in seventeen rotating productions at The Metropolitan Opera, submerging into a wide range of roles from comedic to dramatic to deranged. Both at The Met and beyond, she is a sought after collaborator for directors and choreographers originating new material. Collaborations with with luminary artists including Annie B Parson, Baz Luhrmann, Fiona Shaw, Zvi Gotheiner, Shen Wei, The Flaming Lips, Bartlett Scher, Phelim McDermott, Steven Hoggett, Marco Evaristti, Kelly Devine, Jamie Nelson, William Kentridge, Ryan Heffington, Ann Yee, Francois Girard, Carrie Cracknell, Carolyn Choa, Des McAnuff, Martha Clarke, Dorian Nuskind-Oder, Gary Lucas.

In collaboration with choreographer Carolyn Choa, Alison originated the longest Principal Dance Solo in Metropolitan Opera history; a twelve minute performance as the Senta Dancer summoning lightning for the overture of Wagner's Der Fliegende Holländer.
