Alison Brigham Clancy is a native of Nevada County where she trained in a variety of dance disciplines at Sierra Dance Institute, Nevada City School of the Arts and the NUHS Theatrical dance program. She then moved to New York City where she earned a BFA in dance from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. She continues to live and work in NYC and has been touring internationally as a dancer with renowned Israeli choreographer Zvi Gotheiner since 2006. She has been blessed to work with many wonderful artists and institutions including The Metropolitan Opera, Shen Wei Dance Arts, Martha Clarke, Lincoln Center Theater, Alice Tully Hall, Park Avenue Armory, Mass MOCA, Christopher Lancaster, Dorian Nuskind-Oder, The Guggenheim Museum, Jason Akira Somma, Molly Allis, Todd Williams/WilliamsWorks, Roger Greenawalt, Misnomer Dance Theater, Michael Helland, The Watermill Center, Young Soon Kim/White Wave, and White Oak.
Alison has presented her own choreography at venues in NYC and California, and received 6 commissions from Nevada Union Theatrical dance. She loves choreographing for music videos.
